Editward

Privacy Policy

Editward is a product change log for Shopify, published by Coreyard. This policy describes what data the app touches and what happens to it. Last updated September 17, 2026.

What we access

When a merchant installs Editward, the app reads one thing through the Shopify Admin API, with the merchant's authorization: products and their variants (titles, descriptions, prices, SKUs, barcodes, weights, tags, status, vendor, product type). The app does not request access to orders, customers, or any other part of the store, and therefore cannot read them.

What we store

We store the current state of each product so that the next edit can be compared against it, and one row per field that changed, with its previous and new values. We also store the author name that Shopify itself reports for an edit, when it reports one. We never store customer names, email addresses, physical addresses, phone numbers, payment details, or orders. Change history is kept for 12 months, then deleted automatically.

What we use it for

One thing: showing the merchant what changed in their own catalogue, and putting a previous value back when they ask for it. We do not sell data, share it with third parties, use it for advertising, or train models on it.

Where it lives

Data is stored in a European data center, encrypted in transit (TLS) and covered by encrypted backups. Access is limited to the app itself.

Deletion

Uninstalling the app revokes its access immediately. Shopify then sends us a deletion request, and all stored data for the store is permanently removed within 48 hours. Merchants can also email us for immediate deletion.
